Amazon ElastiCache Global Datastore Adds Resource Tagging and TBAC
Amazon ElastiCache Global Datastore now supports resource tagging and tag-based access control (TBAC), enabling consistent permission and cost-allocation models across an entire ElastiCache fleet. This enhancement addresses a prior limitation where Global Datastore lacked tagging, preventing uniform policy application. Users can now apply tags, reference them in IAM and SCPs, and benefit from automatic tag propagation across regions, ensuring consistent policies without per-region operations. This feature is available at no additional cost in all regions where ElastiCache Global Datastore is offered.
