    Amazon FSx for Lustre file systems can now be created with the Intelligent-Tiering storage class in 13 new AWS Regions. This storage class automatically tiers data across hot, cold, and archive tiers, optimizing for cost and performance with an optional SSD read cache.

    The Intelligent-Tiering storage class provides elastic, cost-effective Lustre file storage for workloads with mixed data access. It offers up to 34% better price-performance than on-premises HDD storage and can reduce costs for rarely accessed data by up to 96%.

  • Expanded Regional Availability

    The Intelligent-Tiering storage class for FSx for Lustre is now available in Cape Town, Milan, Paris, Spain, Zurich, Hyderabad, Jakarta, Malaysia, Melbourne, Osaka, Taipei, Thailand, and São Paulo. This expands the service's reach across Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America.
