Amazon Location Service adds GrabMaps nearby search in Singapore and Malaysia
Amazon Location Service now supports proximity-based search for points of interest using GrabMaps data in Singapore and Malaysia AWS Regions. This feature allows developers in Southeast Asia to build applications that can surface relevant nearby places using hyperlocal data. The SearchNearby API returns places within a specified radius and can be filtered by category, enabling diverse use cases for local discovery, delivery, and mobility applications.

Amazon Location Service now supports proximity-based point of interest discovery using GrabMaps data in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) and Asia Pacific (Malaysia) AWS Regions. Builders creating local discovery, delivery, and mobility applications in Southeast Asia can surface relevant nearby places using hyperlocal data validated by millions of daily Grab journeys.

GrabMaps delivers hyperlocal mapping data purpose-built for Southeast Asia, with millions of daily journeys across the Grab platform continuously validating road networks, addresses, and points of interest in real time. The data covers detailed back alleys, narrow side streets, and motorcycle-accessible routes across more than 500 cities in several Southeast Asian countries.
