Amazon MSK Connect Now Supports Restarting Connectors and Tasks
Amazon MSK Connect now supports restarting newly created connectors and their associated tasks, significantly enhancing recovery for streaming data pipelines. This feature eliminates the need to delete and recreate connectors after failures, reducing downtime and operational overhead for users. Users can choose to restart all tasks, selectively restart failed tasks, or even restart non-failed connectors to address transient issues or dependency changes. The capability is available at no additional cost via the AWS Console, CLI, SDK, and CDK in all AWS Regions where MSK Connect is offered.

- MSK Connect Gains Connector and Task Restart Capability
Amazon MSK Connect now allows users to restart newly created connectors and their tasks, including selectively restarting only failed tasks. This new functionality simplifies recovery from issues, eliminating the prior requirement to delete and recreate connectors, thereby reducing downtime and operational overhead. The restart capability is provided at no extra cost and can be accessed through the AWS Console, CLI, SDK, and CDK.
