Amazon Kinesis Data Streams now offers fully serverless streaming tables, enabling continuous delivery of data from Kinesis streams to Apache Iceberg tables on Amazon S3. This new capability eliminates the need for customers to build and operate self-managed Iceberg delivery pipelines, significantly reducing data delivery costs by up to 50%. The feature includes intelligent inline compaction to address the small file problem, ensuring predictable query performance and lowering downstream query costs by up to 30%. It targets customers aiming to power near real-time analytics and AI/ML feature pipelines with fresh streaming data, and is available in all AWS Regions where Kinesis Data Streams is present.
