Amazon MWAA Adds Support for Apache Airflow 3.3.1
Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) now supports Apache Airflow version 3.3.1, the latest release of the open-source workflow orchestration framework. This update introduces stateful tasks, enabling durable state persistence across retries and reruns for long-running jobs, and experimental multi-language support for task logic in Java or Go. Other improvements include expanded asset partitioning, pluggable retry policies, and bulk actions for DAG runs, along with stability and security enhancements. Users can launch new environments or upgrade existing ones from version 3.2 or later via the AWS Management Console in all supported Amazon MWAA regions.

Amazon MWAA now supports Apache Airflow 3.3.1, which includes stateful tasks that can persist durable state across retries and reruns, enabling crash-safe reconnection to long-running jobs. It also features an experimental Language Task SDK, allowing task logic to be written in Java or Go alongside Python orchestration. Additional enhancements cover expanded asset partitioning, pluggable retry policies, bulk actions for DAG runs, and overall stability, security, and UI improvements.
