Amazon RDS for MariaDB Now Supports New MariaDB Minor Versions

Amazon RDS for MariaDB now supports the latest community MariaDB minor versions, including 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, and 12.3.3. These updates introduce post-quantum TLS (PQ-TLS) key exchange, providing enhanced data-in-transit encryption, alongside operational improvements. The new versions also incorporate critical CVE fixes, bug fixes, and performance enhancements from the MariaDB community. Customers can upgrade their databases using Amazon RDS Blue/Green Deployments, in-place upgrades, or by restoring from a snapshot, with options for automatic minor version upgrades and scaled rollouts using AWS Organizations.
