Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server Supports Latest CU and GDR Updates, Including Security Fixes

Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server now supports the latest Cumulative Updates (CU) and General Distribution Release (GDR) updates for Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022. These updates include SQL Server 2019 CU32+GDR KB5102335 and SQL Server 2022 CU25+GDR KB5101347. The GDR updates specifically address several security vulnerabilities, including CVE-2026-47295, CVE-2026-47296, CVE-2026-54118, and CVE-2026-55002. Users can upgrade their RDS Custom for SQL Server instances via the Amazon RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI to apply these recommended updates.
