Amazon Route 53 Resolver is now generally available on second-generation AWS Outposts
Amazon Route 53 Resolver is now generally available on second-generation AWS Outposts racks, offering local, managed recursive DNS resolution directly on your Outpost. This reduces latency by resolving DNS queries locally and maintains continuous resolution even during Service Link disconnections. The service runs on AWS-managed infrastructure, eliminating customer compute needs and is enabled by default on multi-rack Outposts. Customers receive a 91-day free trial until December 21, 2026, with standard pricing applying afterward.

Amazon Route 53 Resolver now provides local, managed recursive DNS resolution on second-generation AWS Outposts racks.
