Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio Adds ODBC Support for Power BI and Analytics Tools
SageMaker Unified Studio now supports ODBC connections, enabling data users to connect tools like Microsoft Power BI directly to governed data within SageMaker projects. This provides a native connection path for analysts using existing ODBC-compatible workflows and tools. It utilizes the Amazon Athena ODBC driver (v2.2.0.1+) and offers authentication via AWS IAM Identity Center or temporary AWS credentials. The feature is generally available in all supported AWS Regions for SageMaker Unified Studio at no extra cost.
