Amazon Transcribe Adds Customer-Managed KMS Keys for Custom Resources
Amazon Transcribe now allows users to encrypt custom vocabularies, vocabulary filters, and language models at rest using customer-managed AWS KMS keys. This enhancement provides greater control over key permissions, access management, and offers a comprehensive audit trail through AWS CloudTrail for compliance. Users can opt to supply their own symmetric KMS key when creating or updating these resources; otherwise, encryption continues with AWS-owned keys. The feature is generally available in all AWS Regions where Amazon Transcribe operates.
