Apigee API hub's Model Context Protocol Server Reaches GA

Google Cloud has announced the general availability of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server within Apigee API hub. This release enables AI agents to seamlessly integrate with and manage API ecosystems using natural language, allowing applications to discover and query APIs more intuitively. The GA launch introduces expanded read and write capabilities for agents, a global endpoint, and granular OAuth scopes. Additionally, it integrates with Model Armor to protect MCP tool invocations from prompt injection attacks.
