App Engine flex Node.js to use Cloud SQL Auth Proxy v2 for Cloud SQL connections

Google Cloud's App Engine flexible environment for Node.js will transition to using Cloud SQL Auth Proxy v2 as its built-in sidecar container for Cloud SQL connections. This update, effective August 2026, aims to provide modern security patches and support for MySQL 8.4 and later versions. Developers can adopt the latest proxy immediately by restarting their VMs or deploying a new application version. This change affects Node.js applications connecting to Cloud SQL via App Engine flexible environment.
