AWS Billing and Cost Management Adds API for Account Billing Context

AWS Billing and Cost Management now offers the ListBillingViewSegments API, which provides the billing context of an account over a specified time period. This API helps users understand their account's position in the billing hierarchy and identify managing accounts or applicable rate settings. It supports direct calls or interaction via an AI agent, and segments data to reflect changes in billing context mid-period. The API is available in all commercial AWS Regions at no additional charge, providing billing context without cost and usage data.
