AWS DevOps Agent adds custom SRE agents and headless access
AWS DevOps Agent now supports custom SRE agents, allowing teams to automate recurring workflows, and headless access via MCP/A2A protocols for integration with existing tools. This enables teams to build agents for tasks like health reports or anomaly detection, and invoke the agent from IDEs or coding assistants without leaving their current environment. These enhancements aim to streamline SRE operations and broaden integration possibilities for developers, with availability expanding to five new regions.

- Support for custom SRE agents in Agent Spaces
Teams can now create and schedule custom SRE agents within Agent Spaces to automate recurring workflows on a cadence, such as daily database health reports or anomaly detection in logs.
- Headless access via MCP and A2A protocols
DevOps Agent can now be invoked from other tools and agents using MCP or A2A protocols, enabling developers to check production health or investigate issues directly from their IDE or coding assistants.
- Extensibility with custom sub-agents
Teams can extend DevOps Agent capabilities by connecting their own sub-agents, built with Amazon Bedrock or third-party frameworks, via the A2A protocol.
