AWS DevOps Agent now offers a release management capability in preview. It reviews code changes for readiness, runs autonomous release testing, and validates deployments to production environments. The capability helps ensure code safety by checking for drift from standards, dependency impacts, and access controls, and it surfaces breaking changes across repositories.

The release readiness review evaluates code changes for production safety during code generation. It identifies drift from internal standards, analyzes dependency impacts, and checks access controls. The agent also maps cross-repository dependencies to detect breaking changes before they are committed and uses proofs to ensure infrastructure changes align with AWS Well-Architected best practices.
- Autonomous release testing for web and API applications
The release testing component generates and executes test plans for web and API-based applications within customer-provisioned environments. This automated process aims to detect regressions, user experience issues, and integration failures that might be missed by manual review.
