AWS End User Messaging Adds WhatsApp Voice Calling Capabilities
AWS End User Messaging now allows businesses to place and receive voice calls with customers directly within WhatsApp, leveraging their existing verified business identity. This enhancement facilitates seamless transitions from chat to voice conversations, preventing context loss and keeping interactions within a single channel. Both customers and businesses can initiate calls, with outbound business calls requiring prior customer permission. The feature is manageable via the AWS End User Messaging console or API and is available in all regions where the service's Social component is offered.
