feature announcement

AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region now offers OpenAI GPT-5.4 and NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super 120B models via the Kiro IDE and CLI. These models enhance AI application development with capabilities like complex reasoning, coding, and efficient inference. GPT-5.4 features a 272K context window, while Nemotron 3 offers efficient inference via a hybrid mixture-of-experts architecture and a 256K context window. Users can access these models by updating and restarting their IDE or CLI.

  • OpenAI GPT-5.4 available for complex reasoning and coding
  • NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super 120B available as open weight model
  • Accessing new models requires IDE/CLI update
Features (2)
  • OpenAI GPT-5.4 available for complex reasoning and coding

OpenAI GPT-5.4 is now available in the Kiro IDE and CLI for complex reasoning, coding, document analysis, and multi-step agentic workflows, running on Amazon Bedrock's inference engine with isolated queues and durable execution. It offers a 272K context window and a 1.2x credit multiplier.

  • NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super 120B available as open weight model

NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super 120B is now available in Kiro as an open weight model. This hybrid mixture-of-experts model activates only 12B of its 120B parameters for high compute efficiency and fast inference, featuring a 256K context window and 32K max output, with a 0.25x credit multiplier.

Notes (1)
