AWS Marketplace adds configurable payment terms for private offers

awsgaengineerfinance
feature

AWS Marketplace now allows sellers to configure net payment terms (Net 30, 45, 60, or 90) on private offers, providing buyers upfront clarity and sellers better cash flow predictability. Previously, payment terms were uniform based on buyer-AWS agreements. This feature is now generally available in all commercial AWS Regions for invoice-paying buyers, with no additional setup required.

  • Configure net payment terms on private offers
  • Improved clarity and flexibility for payment terms
  • Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPO) and default behavior
Features (1)
  • Configure net payment terms on private offers

Sellers can now set specific net payment terms, such as Net 30, Net 45, Net 60, or Net 90, for private offers in AWS Marketplace. This change aims to align invoice due dates with negotiated terms between buyers and sellers. The feature is generally available in all commercial AWS Regions for invoice-paying buyers.

Enhancements (1)
  • Improved clarity and flexibility for payment terms

This update provides buyers with upfront clarity on payment due dates before accepting private offers and allows sellers to achieve better cash flow predictability. The configured terms apply uniformly to all charges within a private offer, including upfront, scheduled, and usage-based fees.

Notes (1)
  • Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPO) and default behavior

For CPPO, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) define maximum payment terms, with channel partners able to offer terms at or below that limit. The default behavior remains unchanged; if custom terms are not set, buyers' standard AWS payment terms will continue to apply.
