AWS Secrets Manager now supports automated rotation of Jenkins API Tokens and SonarQube Tokens, extending its managed external secrets capability. This enhancement allows users to rotate these third-party credentials directly from the AWS console without custom code, improving security and operational efficiency. For Jenkins, the system ensures seamless CI/CD job transitions by verifying new tokens before revoking old ones. SonarQube supports user, global analysis, and project analysis tokens, with both self-rotation and admin-assisted options available in all supported AWS Regions.
