AWS Transform adds Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP as a GA storage target

infraawsgaarchitect
feature

AWS Transform for migrations now offers Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP as a generally available storage target for block storage workloads, alongside Amazon EBS. This enhancement streamlines migration workflows by allowing block storage to be migrated directly to FSx for ONTAP within the same wave as compute and networks, eliminating the need for intermediate storage. It ensures data access patterns and operational processes remain consistent for workloads migrating from NetApp ONTAP, other block storage platforms, or VMware environments. The capability is available in all AWS Transform supported target Regions where Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP is also supported.
