Features (2) ›
- CloudWatch offers managed Prometheus collectors
Amazon CloudWatch now supports collecting Prometheus metrics using fully managed collectors. This feature enables monitoring of EKS, EC2, ECS, MSK, and OpenSearch Service workloads without agent deployment or management, reducing operational burden.
- AWS Interconnect multicloud connectivity with OCI is GA
AWS Interconnect, a multicloud connectivity product, is now generally available with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It allows provisioning of private connections between AWS and OCI without using the public internet, enhancing security and performance for multicloud architectures.
Enhancements (2) ›
- IAM Identity Center extends multi-Region support for its directory
AWS IAM Identity Center now supports replicating its directory to additional Regions when used as the identity source. This ensures continued user access to AWS accounts in case of a primary Region disruption, previously only available for external identity providers.
- S3 Tables adds support for Variant data type for Apache Iceberg V3
Amazon S3 Tables now supports the Variant data type from the Apache Iceberg V3 specification. This provides a high-performance solution for managing semi-structured data within data lakes, such as IoT sensor data or application logs.
Notes (1) ›
- Simplified AWS CLI installation and updates
A new blog post details how to install and update the AWS CLI using single-line commands across platforms. This is presented as a quality-of-life improvement for managing CLI versions in teams or CI pipelines.
