feature

Amazon Bedrock now supports cost allocation by AWS IAM principal for inference requests made through its bedrock-mantle endpoint. This enhancement extends a capability previously available for the bedrock-runtime endpoint, allowing customers to attribute generative AI costs more granularly. Users can tag IAM users and roles with attributes like team or project, then analyze these costs in AWS Cost Explorer or the AWS Cost and Usage Report 2.0. This feature helps organizations manage and track expenditure across various users, teams, and applications leveraging Bedrock's generative AI models.

  • IAM Principal Cost Allocation for Bedrock-Mantle Endpoint

Amazon Bedrock now supports attributing inference costs to specific AWS IAM principals, including users and roles, for requests made via the bedrock-mantle endpoint. This capability, previously available for the bedrock-runtime endpoint, allows customers to tag IAM users and roles with cost allocation attributes. These tags can then be used to analyze bedrock-mantle inference costs within AWS Cost Explorer or AWS Cost and Usage Report 2.0, providing better visibility into expenditure across different teams and projects.
