Azure NetApp Files: Configure SMB Opportunistic Locking (Oplocks)
Azure NetApp Files now supports configuring SMB opportunistic locking (oplocks) for both SMB and dual-protocol volumes. This capability improves SMB client caching, enhancing performance for workloads leveraging ANF. Available in public preview, oplocks are enabled by default but can be adjusted on new or existing volumes, including independently on cross-region replication destination volumes.

Azure NetApp Files now supports configuring SMB opportunistic locking (oplocks) for SMB and dual-protocol volumes, which improves SMB client caching. This setting, available in public preview, is enabled by default and can be applied to new or existing volumes. Cross-region replication destination volumes can also use an oplock setting independent of their source volume.
