BigQuery adds Gemini, JDBC driver, and cost controls
BigQuery is rolling out several new features and enhancements, including Gemini Cloud Assist for data lineage and query scheduling, a GA JDBC driver for Java applications, and token-based cost management for generative AI functions. IAM deny policies are also now generally available. These updates affect data engineers, developers, and architects using BigQuery, with some features currently in preview.
