Cloud SQL for MySQL Gains C4 Machine Series and In-Place Instance Upgrades
Cloud SQL for MySQL now supports the C4 machine series for Enterprise Plus instances in specific regions, offering improved price-performance for demanding workloads. Additionally, it introduces in-place upgrades and downgrades for instance infrastructure. This allows direct modification of edition, machine type, storage type, and database version, simplifying reconfigurations and reducing potential errors. These enhancements provide greater flexibility and efficiency for managing MySQL databases on Cloud SQL.

Offers a price-performance balance that makes it suitable for high-demand workloads.
