feature

Cloud Workstations now offers Compute Engine VM suspend and resume capabilities in Preview. This enhancement allows administrators to configure workstation VMs to suspend when they hit their idle timeouts, rather than being completely shut down and deleted. This feature, known as auto-sleep in the Google Cloud Console, is managed via the IdleAction workstation configuration setting. It helps reduce operational costs while potentially improving developer experience by allowing faster restarts.
