CloudWatch Synthetics Adds Multilocation Canary Support
Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics now allows running canaries across multiple AWS Regions simultaneously from a single management point. This feature reduces operational overhead and configuration drift compared to managing separate canaries per region. It ensures consistent user experience, identifies region-specific issues, and enhances alert confidence by requiring multi-location failures. The feature is available in all AWS commercial Regions supporting CloudWatch Synthetics, and existing canaries can be upgraded.
