Compute Engine MIG autoscaler stabilization period configurable
Google Cloud Compute Engine now allows configuration of the stabilization period for autoscaled managed instance groups (MIGs). This change enables fine-grained control over instance deletion after load decreases, impacting cost optimization and capacity management. Engineers and architects managing MIGs can now tailor autoscaling behavior to specific workload needs.
Features (1) ›
- Compute Engine
In an autoscaled managed instance group (MIG), you can configure the stabilization period to manage how quickly the autoscaler deletes instances after a decrease in the load. This configuration can help optimize costs or maintain extra capacity based on your workload requirements. For more information, see Configure stabilization period .
