Compute Engine has introduced a feature preview that retains deleted standard snapshots in a recycle bin. This new capability aims to protect snapshots from accidental or malicious deletion. Retained snapshots will be held for three days before being permanently erased. This enhancement helps improve data protection and recovery options for Compute Engine users.
