Compute Engine X5 series now GA with 48TB memory-optimized instances
Google Cloud has announced the general availability of its Compute Engine X5 series, which introduces memory-optimized machine types offering configurations up to 48TB. This expansion breaks the previous 32TB memory limit of the X4 series, providing a significant boost in capacity. The new X5 series is specifically designed to empower the largest SAP HANA and RISE with SAP customers. It enables them to easily scale their mission-critical databases on a single node, addressing high-demand enterprise workloads.
