Databricks Genie Code Scheduled Tasks Now Generally Available
Databricks has made Genie Code scheduled tasks generally available, enabling users to automate recurring analysis and other work as unattended background tasks. This new capability allows scheduling a prompt to run on a recurring basis as a full Genie Code session. Each execution produces a continuable Genie chat with the results, streamlining repetitive workflows. Users can create these scheduled tasks directly through Genie Code chat or the Schedules menu.

Genie Code scheduled tasks are now generally available, allowing users to schedule prompts for recurring execution. Each task runs as a full Genie Code session and produces a continuable Genie chat with the results, effectively turning repetitive analysis and other work into unattended background operations. These tasks can be configured directly within Genie Code chat or via the Schedules menu.
