Databricks Unity Catalog Introduces Agent Skill Management (Beta)
Databricks Unity Catalog now allows users to publish, govern, and share agent skills. These skills are treated as first-class securables within Unity Catalog, following the SKILL.md specification. This integration enables granular control over skill discovery, usage, and updates, leveraging existing UC permissions, tags, and auditing capabilities. The functionality is currently available in Beta, allowing coding agents to download published skills or load them live via MCP.
