Gemini Enterprise adds custom skills and Slack integration

Gemini Enterprise is now generally available with custom skills, allowing users to create and manage reusable instructions for specific tasks. Additionally, administrators can integrate Gemini Enterprise with Slack, bringing AI-powered answers directly into user workflows. Both features aim to enhance productivity and data access through AI assistance. Custom skills require allowlist access and administrator configuration, while the Slack integration is GA for Gemini Enterprise administrators.

    Gemini Enterprise: Create and manage skills (GA with allowlist) You can create, import, update, and use skills in the Gemini Enterprise web app. Skills are reusable custom instructions that help the assistant perform specific tasks. This feature is available as a GA with allowlist. To access this feature, contact your Google account manager. After your Google Cloud project is added to the allowlist, a Gemini Enterprise administrator must turn on the Enable skills toggle in the web app feature management settings to let users use it.     Gemini Enterprise: Gemini Enterprise app for Slack Gemini Enterprise administrators can integrate Gemini Enterprise with Slack to deliver AI-powered answers and search directly to users in their Slack workspace. Once integrated, users can interact with Gemini Enterprise through direct messages, slash commands, and channel mentions to receive answers that incorporate data from all connected data stores.
