Genie Code Scheduled Tasks Coming to Databricks Workspaces with Compliance Profile
Databricks will enable Genie Code scheduled tasks by default in October 2026 for workspaces with the compliance security profile. This new capability allows users to automate the execution of Genie Code prompts on a recurring schedule. Each scheduled run initiates a full Genie Code session, producing a continuable chat with results, enabling the automation of recurring analysis and background tasks.

Databricks Genie Code scheduled tasks will become available by default in October 2026 for workspaces configured with the compliance security profile. This feature allows users to schedule Genie Code prompts to run on a recurring basis. Each execution generates a full Genie Code session and a continuable chat with the results, streamlining repetitive analysis and background workflows.
