Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise now offers enhanced cost management
Google Cloud has introduced new cost management capabilities for Gemini Enterprise, allowing administrators to control and monitor spending for invoiced Cloud Billing accounts. These features include enabling overages at pay-as-you-go rates, configuring monthly project spend limits, and tracking feature usage and costs. The update aims to help prevent unexpected charges for customers with active, non-free-trial subscriptions, providing better financial governance over AI resource consumption. Note that this feature does not apply to projects that received a specific billing update email dated August 17, 2026.
