Google Expands Americas Network with Three New Subsea Cables
Google has announced a significant expansion of its global network infrastructure in the Americas with three new subsea cable systems: Alisios, Canoa, and OlaLuz. These systems, along with a new branch for the Firmina cable, form "Americas Connect" to enhance reach, reliability, and resilience. This investment strengthens network capacity between the Caribbean, Latin America, North America, and Europe. It will benefit users and businesses in the Dominican Republic, Panama, Chile, Bermuda, and Florida, supporting various digital services and Google Cloud regions.
