Google Kubernetes Engine Updates Versions and Deprecates Older Releases
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) has updated available versions for new clusters and existing cluster upgrades across all release channels, including Rapid, Regular, Stable, and Extended. Several older GKE versions have been deprecated and are scheduled for removal in 90 days or at their end of support. This update introduces new default versions for cluster creation in the Rapid, Regular, and Extended channels, alongside new auto-upgrade targets for both minor and patch versions. These changes ensure access to the latest GKE capabilities while requiring users to plan migrations from unsupported versions.
