Google open-sources AI-assisted plugin for EKS-to-GKE migrations
Google has released the open-source GKE agentic migration plugin to streamline the complex process of moving Kubernetes environments from AWS EKS to GKE. This plugin leverages AI, combined with deterministic guardrails, to translate Infrastructure-as-Code and Kubernetes manifests directly into GKE configurations. It addresses critical migration challenges, including the risk of AI hallucination, bypassing GitOps workflows, and managing state across teams.
