Google has launched its Gemini Startup Forum, selecting 33 cybersecurity startups focused on AI integration. - Focus on AI Integration in Cybersecurity Solutions
The forum will foster dialogue and collaboration on integrating AI into cybersecurity. Startups will work alongside specialists from Google DeepMind and Google Cloud, as well as Wiz.
- Specialized Focus Areas for Startups
The 33 selected startups are organized into six specialized focus areas: AI agent security and governance, application security and vulnerability management, cloud, network, and infrastructure security, endpoint security and data protection, SOC automation and offensive security, and post-quantum cryptography.
- AI Agent Security and Governance Solutions
Several startups are developing solutions for AI agent security, including runtime protection, EDR platforms for AI agents, agentless detection and response, data-in-use protection for AI workloads, AI control planes for governance, and runtime security infrastructure for enterprise AI agents.
- Advancements in Application Security and Cloud Security
Other featured startups are addressing application security with vulnerability modeling and automated remediation, and cloud security with solutions for cloud network monitoring, encryption scanning, firewall optimization, multicloud security control planes, and cloud security posture management.
- Innovations in Endpoint Security and SOC Automation
The cohort also includes companies enhancing endpoint security with user-space agents for data exfiltration protection and unified workspace protection layers. Additionally, several startups are focusing on SOC automation through agentic platforms that analyze alerts and automate threat response.
