Guest Environment Agent Fix for Windows Shutdown Race Condition
A fix for the Guest Environment agent on Windows, version 20260717.00, is now available. It addresses a race condition in the extensions manager that could lead to incorrect states on subsequent boots after an abrupt Windows shutdown. This issue was triggered by the Service Control Manager's attempt to restart the extensions manager following an early termination signal. This patch is specifically for Windows users.

Version 20260717.00 of the guest agent is now available for Windows only. This version introduces the following fix: Fixed a race condition in the extensions manager during Windows shutdown that could cause an incorrect state on the next boot. This occurred when the Service Control Manager (SCM) attempted to restart the extensions manager after it received an early termination signal.
