Microsoft is retiring support for Azure Linux with OS Guard in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), effective December 10, 2026. After this date, users will be unable to create new node pools or receive security patches for existing ones. By March 10, 2027, the associated node images will be removed, leading to failures in scaling and remediation operations. Users are advised to migrate to Azure Container Linux, which is the designated replacement, using provided in-place or new node pool migration options.
