Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Base adds user-managed setup for SharePoint, OneDrive, Confluence
Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base now supports user-managed setup (3LO) for SharePoint, OneDrive, and Confluence data sources. This streamlines configuration by allowing users to sign in with existing third-party credentials, eliminating the prior need for 2LO service accounts and IT admin coordination. The change lowers the barrier to quickly prototyping AI assistants grounded in these data sources, complementing existing enterprise-grade service account authentication. This feature is now generally available for Bedrock knowledge bases.

Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base now allows users to connect SharePoint, OneDrive, and Confluence data sources by signing in with their existing third-party credentials. This new 3LO setup simplifies the process by removing the previous requirement for generating 2LO service account credentials, making it faster to connect data for AI assistant prototyping.
