Web Search for Amazon Bedrock now available in AWS GovCloud (US-West)
Amazon Bedrock's Web Search built-in tool is now available in AWS GovCloud (US-West), extending its capabilities to compliance-sensitive government and public-sector workloads. This feature helps supported OpenAI GPT models ground responses with current web information, including citations to sources, which is crucial for dynamic data and recent events. Designed to meet GovCloud's data-handling standards, the tool keeps request data within AWS boundaries and is governed by AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM). It supports GPT-5.4, GPT-5.6 Terra, and Luna models at launch, enabling centralized control over its use.
