Amazon DynamoDB global tables with multi-Region strong consistency expands to 5 new AWS Regions
Amazon DynamoDB global tables with multi-Region strong consistency (MRSC) has expanded its availability to five new AWS Regions, bringing the total to 15. This expansion includes Canada (Central), Europe (Stockholm), Europe (Spain), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and Asia Pacific (Singapore). Customers can now configure MRSC global tables in cross-continent setups across these regions, supporting highly available applications with a zero recovery point objective. This enables strongly consistent reads from endpoints closer to users and enhances resilience during regional impairments for global applications.
