AWS MCP Server adds serverless capability for Lambda function diagnosis
AWS Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server now includes a serverless capability designed to help AI coding agents like Claude Code and Kiro diagnose issues with AWS Lambda functions and their integrated resources more efficiently. This enhancement allows agents to troubleshoot running Lambda functions and connected services across Amazon API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and Step Functions. The capability provides comprehensive data in a single call, enabling agents to correlate error signals, identify trends, and analyze service latency, thereby consuming fewer tokens. It is available at no additional cost in all commercial AWS Regions, with the AWS MCP Server itself running in US East (N. Virginia) and Europe (Frankfurt).
