Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-flex Instances Now Available in AWS European Sovereign Cloud

Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-flex instances, powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors, are now available in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany) region. These memory-optimized instances deliver up to 15% better price-performance and 2.5x more memory bandwidth than previous Intel-based generations. They offer significant performance gains for workloads like PostgreSQL, NGINX, AI deep learning, and mission-critical SAP applications. The expansion caters to customers requiring high-performance, memory-intensive compute within the sovereign cloud environment, available via Savings Plans, On-Demand, and Spot instances.
