Amazon MQ allows configurable storage for RabbitMQ brokers

Amazon MQ now enables independent configuration of EBS disk storage size for RabbitMQ brokers, separate from instance type. This allows users to right-size storage for specific messaging workloads when creating or updating brokers. This feature is available for RabbitMQ M7g brokers on version 4.2+ in cluster deployments and can be managed via AWS Console, CloudFormation, CLI, or CDK.

    Amazon MQ now supports configuring the EBS disk storage size for RabbitMQ brokers independently of the instance type. Users can specify a custom storage size when creating or updating brokers to match their messaging workload requirements. This feature is available for RabbitMQ M7g brokers on version 4.2 or later using cluster deployments.

    Configurable storage allows users to select a storage size from the default value up to the maximum allowed by the instance size, in 5 GB increments. Storage changes are applied during the next broker reboot. Standard Amazon MQ storage pricing applies based on the selected disk size.

    Storage size can be specified using the AWS Console, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, or AWS CDK. This capability is available in all commercial AWS Regions where Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ is offered.
