Amazon Redshift now supports 10MiB record ingestion from Kinesis Data Streams
Amazon Redshift has increased its maximum supported record size for ingestion from Amazon Kinesis Data Streams (KDS) to 10 MiB, a tenfold increase from the previous 1 MiB limit. This enhancement matches KDS's expanded record size, enabling users to stream significantly larger payloads directly into Redshift. It simplifies data ingestion pipelines by removing the need to split records and unlocks new use cases for high-volume, large-record workloads. This capability is now generally available in all commercial AWS regions where Redshift is offered.
