AWS Databases on Vercel Expand to More Regions

awsgaengineerfinance
feature announcement

Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, Aurora DSQL, and DynamoDB serverless databases are now available on Vercel Marketplace and v0 in additional AWS Regions, providing more flexibility for developers. This integration allows users to describe ideas in natural language via v0, which automatically generates designs, deploys code and infrastructure, and stores data in selected AWS databases with no hands-on coding. New AWS accounts created from Vercel include $100 in credits and access to all three database types, usable for up to six months.

Features (2)
  • Expanded AWS Database Availability on Vercel

Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, Aurora DSQL, and DynamoDB serverless databases are now available on Vercel Marketplace and v0 across a wider range of AWS Regions. This expansion offers enhanced flexibility for developers building applications with Vercel and AWS databases.

  • New Account Credits and Database Access

New AWS accounts created through Vercel now include $100 USD in credits, applicable to Aurora PostgreSQL, Aurora DSQL, and DynamoDB for up to six months. This offers a cost-effective way to prototype and build applications.

Enhancements (1)
  • Streamlined Database Provisioning via Vercel

Developers can now create database resources in seconds directly from Vercel, integrating seamlessly with new or existing AWS accounts. The v0 platform further simplifies this by allowing natural language descriptions to generate spec-driven designs, code, and infrastructure, including AWS database provisioning.

Notes (1)
  • Enhanced Region Support Details

Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB tables are enabled by default in 17 AWS Regions, while Aurora DSQL is available in 16 specific regions including US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Ireland). Detailed region availability is listed in the release notes.
